The Puritans produced a disappointing display at King’s Lynn Town where their unbeaten run came to an end on Saturday.

And Ford promised to make changes for Tuesday’s premier division clash at the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium.

Ford said: “We looked like a side that hadn’t had a game for ten days. Some players looked a bit leggy but I didn’t see any reason to change the team for Saturday.

“There is pressure at the top end of the table but I’d rather deal with that than the pressure at the bottom end. I expected my team to put on a high tempo display on Saturday and we didn’t.

“Performances get you picked and some performances mean you are left out. So there will be changes for Tuesday, because we were nowhere near our usual intensity levels.

“But the players who come in will need to be ready, physically and mentally, if they are picked. We need to be much better on Tuesday and I’m confident we will be.”
