Banbury United manager Mike Ford will be looking for his side to extend their unbeaten run to seven games.

The Puritans are back in action on Tuesday when Chippenham Town are the visitors at the Banbury Plant Community Stadium.

We are 13 games in and have 21 points, I would have snapped your hand off for that at the start of the season

United made it seven games unbeaten in the Evo-Stik Southern League by taking all three points at Cambridge City on Monday. That came on the back of Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Biggleswade Town.

They were two games Ford felt his side should have won but he will be happy with four points from six after going behind in both games.

Ford said: “You have to have that ability in your team to overcome teams, no matter if they are at the top or at the bottom.

“Every team is going to have a spell in any game when they will have more of the ball and you have to defend, we did that brilliantly at Cambridge.

“We are 13 games and have 21 points, I would have snapped your hand off for that at the start of the season. We’re getting towards a third of the season now and we’ve done okay.”
