McCrory determined to fulfil his Puritans’ dream
Jed McCrory has moved to reassure Banbury United fans that he is determined to stay at Spencer Stadium.
The Puritans owner spoke on Tuesday night, after the game against Kettering Town, when reports emerged linking him with troubled League One club Swindon Town.
McCrory is due to address fans in the clubhouse at Spencer Stadium on Friday night at 7pm. He said: “It was quite emotional for me when I turned up at the ground on Tuesday night with fans asking me what was going on.
“I was probably the only person at this club who believed we could do this when I arrived. But, with people starting to support what we’re doing at Banbury, I really belive we can make it happen for this club.
“I’m trying to improve the stadium, the facilties and, of course, the team.
“I love coming to Spencer Stadium and I want to be here in some capacity for the forseeable future.”
