Brady looking for Saints to produce their best and gain revenge at runaway leaders

Brackley Town boss Jon Brady knows his side face their biggest test of the season on Saturday when they visit runaway leaders Chester.

After seeing off the bottom club, Hinckley United, in their last game, Saints now face the top side. The Blue Square Bet North pacesetters have a 16-point cushion over second-placed Guiseley while Saints are a further 25 points behind following Tuesday’s 3-1 at Hinckley.

Chester gave Saints a football lesson earlier in the season when they won 3-2 in front of a record crowd at St James Park but there is likely to be nearly three times that number at the Exacta Stadium on Saturday.

“We’ll be going up there to get a result,” declared Brady.

“Chester look as though they will become champions although I wouldn’t write Guiseley off just yet. They are a very good side and have games in hand. We’ve just got to make sure we stay in the play-offs.”

Marvin Robinson is the only doubt for the trip to Chester. Meanwhile, Brady revealed that Ryan Austin will remain on-loan at St James Park for the rest of the season, Laurie Walker will continue at Evo-Stik League Southern leaders Leamington and Josh Green will stay out on-loan at Bedford Town.

“Billy Turley has been back to his best in recent games so it makes sense for Laurie [Walker] to be getting games at Leamington,” added Brady.

“But Billy knows he will have to stay on top form to keep the number one shirt and if he got injured we would bring Laurie straight back. Josh [Green] remains an important part of this squad and I’m sure he will play his part.”
