Tight win for Broughton

BROUGHTON & North Newington beat Azad with two balls to spare in Tuesday’s Banbury Indoor League fixture.

Azad posted 91-4 in the division two game with Adnan Hussain 26no top scoring while Steve Palmer took 2-21. In reply, Don Patterson 25no and Jason Allcock 22 saw Broughton home.

Cropredy A beat Radway by five wickets. Sam Douthwaite 27no helped Radway to 98-2 but Pete Cooling 28no and Tim Coggins 24no saw Cropredy home.

Hook Norton beat Charlbury A by 22 runs. Adam Webb 35no and Dan White 33 top scored in Hooky’s 130-4. Tom Nash 22 top scored in Charlbury’s reply.

Shipston beat Banbury A by six wickets. Paul Cutler 37no top scored in Banbury’s 95-4 but Jack Murphy 28no, Marcus Ireland 25no and Tom Cox 25no won it for Shipston.
