Sandford St Martin maintained their unbeaten start to the Banbury Indoor Cricket League campaign.

The champions beat Banbury by 17 runs in Tuesday’s division one fixture.

Sandford posted 140-3 in ten overs with Martin Anson 30no, Colin Simpson 25no and Lewis Anson 24no leading the way while Ollie Murrey took 1-26.

In reply, Banbury reached 123-5 in their ten overs with Mark Pallett 44no top scoring while Jim Howe took 2-23.

Hook Norton beat Shipston-on-Stour by six wickets.

Shipston were skittled out for just 58 runs inside eight overs with only Jack Murphy 32 showing any resistance.

In reply, Hooky soon reached their target in six overs with Andrew Stanley 27no and Dan White 19no leading them home.

Cropredy beat Castlethorpe by virtue of losing fewer wickets in a thriller.

Cropredy made 93-3 in their ten overs with Tom Bunting 38 and Luke Cherry 27no top scoring while Ollie Prendergast took 1-30 and Colin Piggott claimed 1-32.

In reply, Castlethorpe remained on course and reached 93-5 with Colin Piggott 24 and Alex Piggott 24 top scoring. But Mark Twynham took 2-32 and Tom Bunting took 1-8 as the last Castlethorpe wicket fell off the last ball of the match.

Great Tew beat Great Tew A by four wickets.

Marcus Jeacock 29no helped Great Tew A to 91-4 in their ten overs while Lawrence Brock took 2-17.

In reply, Great Tew reached their target in seven overs with Robbie Catling 25no and Liam Manley 24no top scoring despite Mark Cannon taking 1-23.
