Champions knock Banbury off top spot
Banbury were knocked off top spot in the Home Counties Premier Cricket League following another frustrating weekend.
While Banbury’s trip to Reading was abandoned shortly into the visitors’ innings, champions High Wycombe were on their way to a draw at Henley which saw them take over at the top of the division one table.
Wycombe have a one point advantage over Lloyd Sabin’s side who had reached 52-1 at Reading when the game was abandoned.
Great & Little Tew also saw their game with Tring Park abandoned at Ledwell Road where Andy Harris’s side were 23 without loss chasing the visitors’ 190-4 total.
