Oliver Barker followed up his maiden victory at Oulton Park in the Radical SR1 Cup, with a second success at a rain soaked Cadwell Park for the Banbury based RAW team.
Qualifying was dry but by the time the grid formed for the opening race, the heavy rain had soaked the track.
Barker started from pole but there was contact with Kye Wheatley within yards. With his rival spearing off into the barriers, Barker’s car was undamaged but the race was red flagged.
Due to the rain the restart was behind the safety car but no sooner as the green flag was waived, there was more incident and the race was red flagged again.
Due to the weather the race wasn’t restarted but they finally came to the grid for a second race at the end of the day.
Barker went clear from the start and was never seriously challenge as he took his lights to flag win by 21 seconds. Behind him James Barwell kept Spencer Bourne at bay during the early laps for fourth and consolidated his place as the race wore on.
