MATT Murphy missed a late penalty as Banbury United failed in their bid to make it three wins on the bounce.
United went down 3-2 at Spencer Stadium, where they squandered a 2-1 advantage against Rugby Town in Monday's BGB Southern League Premier Division clash.

First half goals from Greg Williams and Ollie Stanbridge gave United a 2-1 interval advantage with Stef Morley replying in between. Morley put Rugby back on level terms from the penalty spot in the second half and David Stone shot the visitors in front.

Murphy missed the chance to earn a late point when he failed to convert from the penalty spot.

Brackley Town lost 2-0 at Corby Town, where Liam Metam and Steve Diggin scored in eigher half.
