Sullivan left frustrated by final dislay
Banbury United boss Kieran Sullivan was left disappointed by his side's 2-1 defeat in the Ooxn Senior Cup final.
"We've not covered ourselves in glory in cup competitions this season. For whatever reason, they were overwhelmed and it looked like the heart had gone out of the players after the second goal went in," said Sullivan.
"I was very disappointed with our display, although we did okay in the first half. North Leigh fully deserved to win.
"They've got players who can play at a higher level and they performed well on the night – but we didn't."
Sullivan felt the majority of his players had been below par but had some praise for stand-in skipper Wayne Blossom and rookie keeper Joe Murrell.
"I thought Wayn was our best player, Joe Murrell made some good saves and I can't fault him for the goals," added Sullivan.
"The players have got to show some character now for the final two games of the season and make sure we finish in the top half."
