BRACKLEY Town have been handed yet another away draw - this time in the FA Trophy.
In Monday's draw, Saints were drawn away to Basingstoke Town in the first round proper of the FA Trophy on Saturday, December 13.

The Blue Square South strugglers beat Thurrock 1-0 in their third qualifying round tie. Although disappointed not to
have a home tie, boss Phil Lines thinks it's a game Town can look forward to.

"I was desperate for as home tie, not only for the team but for the club's officials and supporters," said Lines.

"At least it's a decent ground to go to and the pitch is good. We've just got to get on with it. If we play well we've got a chance to make it into the next round.

"But we've got to put it on the back burner for a couple of weeks and get some points in the league."

Looking back on Saturday's success, Lines added: "The players are tired mentally and physically. Cray were the better side in the first half and we were fortunate to get to halftime on level terms. Richard Knight was outstanding, he has been all the way through our cup run.

"We had to be patient but once we scored they seemed to lose some energy and we finished the game strongly."
