Murphy quits Spencer Stadium for Spalding

AS EXPECTED, experienced striker Matt Murphy has left Spencer Stadium and signed for Spalding.
Murphy signed for the struggling Unibond Division One South outfit, who had put in a seven-day approach for the striker, after talking to boss Alan Biley yesterday (Wednesday).

United boss Kieran Sullivan said: "I spoke to Matt (Murphy) and he said Spalding made him a really good offer, he went away to think about it for a few hours and decided to sign."

"Obviously, I'm disappointed to see Matt (Murphy) go but to be fair to him he didn't come back to me and demand more money."
