BANBURY Bulls visit Northampton Old Scouts on Saturday with coach Grant Holmes demanding an improved performance.
Holmes was pleased to get another win last week but was less than impressed with the overall performance of his side.

Bulls beat Northampton BBOB 31-12 at Bodicote Park to move up to third in the Midlands Three East South table but Holmes was happier with the points than the performance.

"We lacked quite a bit of cohesion at times and we were laboured throughout the game, never being able to hit top gear," said Holmes.

"Sometimes it felt as if we were all waiting for someone else to do the job when in actual fact it was our job to do the work.

"Once again we squandered several try scoring opportunities with poor execution of some of the basic elements of the game."

After Northampton Old Scouts, Bulls have a home game with the unbeaten Stewart & Lloyds. So Bulls have to improve some way if they are to keep their winning run going against these two sides.

"The players know we have to improve, they know that we are not going to get away with sub standard performances against better opposition," added Holmes.
