JOE Bushin grabbed a late winner to sink Banbury United at Spencer Stadium.
After getting back to winning ways against Rugby Town, United were undone by Bushin against in-form Tiverton in Tuesday's Zamaretto League clash.

Following Saturday's hard-fought success over Rugby Town, Jeffrey was looking for a maximum return ag
ainst Tiverton.

But United produced a below-par performance and resorted to too many hopeful long-balls which certainly doesn't suit their style. With the fullbacks inclined to hit long balls down the line in a 4-4-2 formation, instead of playing through the midfield, United were giving away possession and were too hurried in their approach play.

Opportunities were rare but it sill took a fine tip-over from the experienced Steve Book to keep out Nathan Haisley's 25-yarder in the first half. At the other end, Joe Murrell tipped Alex Faux's shot onto the bar and then did well to deny Bushin.

United began the second half with more urgency but couldn't find their touch in the final third. Their best chances came from set-pieces, Adam Learoyd headed straight at Book from Joe Coleman's free-kick and Milner headed wide from another Coleman delivery.

With a point almost in the bag, United were caught out in the 83rd minute when Bushin evaded Milner and beat Murrell with a clinical finish. Learoyd almost rescued a point in the final minute but shot straight at Book.
