Banbury Twenty broke their duck for the season with a 63 run success at Oxford Downs in division one, where James Soppet took five-wickets.
Twenty were inserted by the hosts and were given a solid start by openers John Wright 26 and Tim Pearce 71. Skipper Mark Haupt 54 and David Clark 46 carried on the good work as Twenty reached 245-8.
Soppet then took centre stage ripping through the Downs top order to finish with 5-35 as the hosts were skittled out for 182.
"It was a great allround performance from everyone. We batted well and reached our target of around 240-250 as set out," said captain Mark Haupt.
"A good foundation was laid by John Wright and Tim Pearce and from then on we went about our task tactfully forming partnerships wherever we could.
"And our bowling and fielding was a great improvement from last week. We stuck at our task all the way through and were rewarded in the end.
"It was a great spell of spin bowling by James Soppet and all the other bowlers played their part."
