SEB Tully-Middleton won gold in the 200m at the England Athletics AVIVA Under-20 Championships in Bedford on Sunday.
In a stunning final, former Banbury Harrier Tully-Middleton made up a three metre gap over the last 30 metres to pip favourite Junior Ejehu on the line.
The photo finish revealed a tight winning margin. Tully-Middleton now goes on to the English Schools Championships in Sheffield next week, hoping for gold in his final appearance in this competition.
If he can achieve the qualifying standard of 21.20 seconds, he will be in line for a place in the England team at the European Under-20 Championships in Serbia at the end of the month.
Not yet qualifying for funding by UK athletics, Tully-Middleton works hard to raise his public profile in order to engage with potential sponsors.
Tully-Middleton continues to visit primary schools in the region hoping to inspire a next generation of athletes and he is available for appearances and public speaking.
