In 2006, Julie Matthews was one of a handful of invited songwriters to take part in a brand new project, The BBC Radio 2 Radio Ballads. Julie wrote 14 songs for The Ballad of the Games and is now bringing those songs, along with the recorded interviews that inspired them, to the stage. Journeys into Middle-Earth: Last chance to view paintings by leading Tolkien artist Ted Nasmith. Enter the world of The Hobbit with artwork inspired by Tolkien’s Middle-earth including a selection of original paintings and limited edition prints from internationally acclaimed Tolkien artist Ted Nasmith. Also on show are original hand-written letters by Tolkien.

George Grosz - The Big No: A Hayward touring exhibition from South Bank Centre, London. The work of the satirical artist George Grosz who criticised the German establishment between the two world wars. The exhibition is held at the Michael Heseltine Gallery, Chenderit School, Middleton Cheney, 2pm-4pm. It also runs Monday to Thursday at 9am-5pm.

Cotswold - An Exhibition by Rupert Aker: Rupert is a Cotswold landscape painter who is based at his studio in Painswick. Working mainly in oils, he aims to capture the effect of the light on the land on textured papers and larger canvases.
