THE SUN came out and so did the crowds as Fir Tree Falconry in Warmington hosted its third annual open weekend on Saturday and Sunday.

For the third consecutive year the event was raising money for the air ambulance, which bore even more meaning this year after the falconry’s owner Keith Jones required its services following a serious car accident in January.

Among the attractions were a range of birds including owls and falcons, the Karluk Siberian Huskies’ team and pony rides.

For a full report of the event and a picture special by photographer Lucy Ford, see this week’s Banbury Guardian, out on Thursday.
