Village primary school bids farewell to head teacher

The head teacher of a village primary school set to retire after 39 years in education has expressed her thanks to parents, teachers and governors.

Chris Woodward has been at Bishop Loveday CoE School in Bodicote for more than six years and leaves the school tomorrow (Friday). She said: “There will be mixed feelings when I leave as teaching has been a big part of my life. I have been able to work with some wonderful colleagues and met some lovely children in my time.” Mrs Woodward’s role will be filled byJane Ridley, headteacher at Leafield CoE Primary School near Witney.
