Three arrests made after motor vehicle thefts in Banbury

Two teenagers and a 16-year-old boy have been arrested in connection with a theft from a motor vehicle in Banbury.

The arrests relate to an incident on Sunday between 10.30pm and 2.30am in the Highlands and Hanwell Fields, where offenders gained access to insecure vehicles and stole items including sat navs, CDs and sunglasses.

Two women, aged 18 and 19, and the boy were arrested on Monday on suspicion of a theft from a motor vehicle and have been released on police bail until August 14.

The Banbury CID team is asking residents to check their vehicles and if you notice any valuable items missing, call PC Jade Hewitt of Banbury Police Station on 101.
