A doorman at a Banbury strip club has been jailed for eight years after being found guilty of raping a female guest.
At Oxford Crown Court on Tuesday Ali Kacani, 32, of Lidsey Road Banbury, was found guilty of two counts of rape and one count of sexual assault on a female.
In a five-day trial jurors heard that on December 29, 2012, Kacani – at the time married with a new-born child – was working at the Venus club on Newland Road when he raped a female guest after helping her out of a toilet, where she had passed out drunk.
Kacani took the victim into a separate section of the club, known as Mirage and not covered by CCTV footage for the evening, and twice had sex with her on a sofa without her consent before driving her home in his car.
Kacani was handed and eight year jail sentence by Judge Mary Mowat.
