Cherwell District Council has stated how pleased it is with its own performance after the results of a recent customer satisfaction survey.

The results of an online and postal survey conducted over six weeks show more residents than ever have expressed their satisfaction with Cherwell District Council’s overall performance.

The results showed a record 77 per cent of respondents were satisfied with the council’s overall performance – up from 76 per cent the previous year and 60 per cent when the survey was launched in 2006. Cllr Kieron Mallon, Cherwell’s lead member for communications and performance, said: “It’s encouraging to see that more than three quarters of those surveyed are satisfied with our overall performance and it’s fantastic to have achieved our highest ever results.

“As a council we are here to represent and serve residents so it’s encouraging to know the vast majority are happy with how we do this.”

Half of all residents agreed Cherwell provided good value for money – up from 45 per cent last year and 38 per cent when the question was first asked in 2009.

The survey also produced record results for the council’s waste and recycling collection service,
