Police hunt youths after victim assaulted on Causeway

Police are hunting three youths who ran off after assaulting and seriously injuring a 26-year-old man on Causeway, Grimsbury today at 2am.

The victim is currently at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where his condition is described as stable.

Investigating officer Det Sgt Jim Holmes said: “We are asking anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen the incident or seen three boys running from the Causeway to contact us as a matter of urgency.

“It is not believed that the attackers and the victim knew each other but I would like to reassure the public that this type of random attack is rare. “We are doing everything we can to trace the offenders.

“The victim is currently being treated in hospital for his injuries which are described as serious.”
