A CHARITY in Upper Heyford has learned how to make a film of its work thanks to a Cherwell District Council scheme.

Woman from Eve supports women with mental, physical and emotional illnesses and has made the film – called Every Voice Equal – with independent film-maker Sharon Woodward as part of the Taking Part in the Arts scheme.

Cherwell District Council’s deputy leader, Cllr George Reynolds, said: “Taking Part is a council arts scheme that provides support, finance and advice to voluntary groups that help communities get involved in creative activity.

“It’s an opportunity for local groups to try something new without having to commit to a long-term arts project.”

The women took part in an eight-week digital media production project and developed new skills, from scripting the idea to shooting for the screen.

The film is available on the charity’s website at http://evewomenswellbeing.org
