Unemployment rates see south Northamptonshire ranked in top ten list

NEW figures have shown that South Northamptonshire has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country.

Figures released on December 12 revealed the district is currently eighth lowest in England out of more than 500 parliamentary constituencies as South Northamptonshire Council continues to encourage those looking for work to make use of its Job Club and Job Match services.

Councillor Rupert Fordham, portfolio holder for economic development and regeneration, said: “We want to do all we can to help by providing advice, support and training through Job Club and Job Match services which so far have found nearly 150 jobs for local people.

“Working with a number of specialist partners, we can offer CV advice, help with interview skills, provide information on local vacancies and opportunities to meet local employers.”

The Job Club runs every Tuesday from 11.30am to 1.30pm, alternating between Brackley and Towcester town halls. For more information call 01327 322264.
