Three vehicle crash on the M40

POLICE and fire crews from Banbury and Deddington attended a serious collision on the M40 yesterday (Sunday) at 5.40pm.
Three vehicles were involved in the collision on the northbound carriageway between junctions 11 (Banbury) and 12 (Gaydon).
One vehicle had overturned and one collided with the central reservation.
Three people were released from the vehicles by the fire service using hydraulic cutting equipment.
Lanes two and three of the motorway were closed while fire crews made the vehicles safe.
In a separate incident on the same stretch of motorway fire crews attended a collision on at 9.40am on Saturday. No persons were trapped and crews made the vehicle safe.
Crews from Hook Norton were also called to an incident near Hook Norton on Saturday at 1pm after a single vehicle left the road.
