BANBURY’S canalside came to life yesterday (Sunday) as thousands of people enjoyed all the fun of Canal Day.

Stretching along the canalside to the rear of Castle Quay crowds were treated to an array of entertainment including drama performances at The Mill, live music at General Foods Sports and Social Club and a host of charity and food stalls.

The fun spilled over into Spiceball Park where youngsters were able to enjoy various child-friendly activities including bouncy castles, go karts and horse-and-cart rides.

For a full report of the event, see this week’s Banbury Guardian, out on Thursday. A picture slideshow of the event will follow on this website later in the week.
