Swap shop to be held in Hooky

A VILLAGE community group is organising an environmentally-friendly event.

Hook Norton Low Carbon (HNLC), which aims to reduce people’s impact on the environment, is holding a free swap shop in the memorial hall on Saturday.

HNLC member Kate Jordan said: “A swap shop is a fantastic way of getting rid of things that you no longer need without impacting negatively on the environment, as well as picking up some fantastic items for free.

“We really hope that the community will get involved and support this fun event.”

Items including books, DVDs, CDs, children’s toys and baby items can be dropped off between 9.30am and 11.30am and collecting begins from 11am to 1pm.

All items taken away from the swap shop will be weighed to see how reusing things can cut down on waste. Things that are not collected will be donated to Banbury Blue Cross Charity.
