Speed campaign puts safety first
A VILLAGE resident and pupils have joined forces to keep children safe as they walk to King’s Sutton Primary School.
Maureen Hanmer and pupils have created the Glow Worm campaign to urge drivers to slow down through the village. Mrs Hanmer said: “Something like this is really important for children. It just involves children giving out stickers and leaflets to parents and drivers in the village, urging them to slow down. I saw a child nearly knocked over by a car walking to school and this prompted me to talk to others who wanted something done.”
