PARENTS of children with Asperger’s Syndrome will be able to pitch questions on special educational needs to Banbury MP Sir Tony Baldry.

Sir Tony will give a talk about Special Educational Needs in Oxfordshire at the next speaker event for the Parents Talking Asperger’s group.

Karen Irvani, who founded the group in April last year, said: “Understanding and navigating around the elements of Special Educational Needs (SEN) can be a minefield, not only for parents of children and young people diagnosed or undiagnosed with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), but also for professionals who work with and provide care for them. Anyone who has a vested interest in children or young people with Special Educational Needs personally or professionally in Oxfordshire would find attending this event useful.”

Sir Tony will give his talk and then accept pre-submitted questions from those attending the event.

The talk will take place at Bloxham Mill Business Centre in Barford Road, Bloxham on Friday, March 1. People should arrive at 6.15pm for refreshments ahead of a 7pm start. Places are limited and must be booked in advance by Monday, January 10.

To confirm attendance e-mail karen@pdqpartnership.com. For more information call 01295 269455 or visit www.parents-talking-aspergers.co.uk
