Savvy shopping tips

WARWICKSHIRE County Council’s trading standards service has released tips for savvy shopping during the January sales. The pointers include not being fobbed off by notices such as “no sale goods exchanged” or “no cash refunds” as consumer rights apply equally to sale items.

People should also be mindful when buying extended warranties and only purchase them for their own peace of mind and not to please an enthusiastic sales person.
