A MAN who failed to provide information concerning planning issues at his site at Edgehill Quarry has been fined £295.
Last month Andrew Baughan of St Mary’s Close, Priors Hardwick, appeared before Leamington Magistrates’ Court for failing to respond to a Planning Contravention Notice.
The notice was issued by Stratford-on-Avon District Council under the Town and Country Planning Act and required Baughan to provide information concerning planning issues at the quarry.
Baughan failed to comply with the notice and pleaded guilty to the charge resulting in a £295 fine, £15 victim surcharge and £150 costs.
Cllr Chris Williams, chairman of the regulatory committee said: “Cases like this show how important it is to comply with planning legislation and if the district council is not getting all the relevant information needed then it can cause a Planning Contravention Notice. People who continue to break these rules risk legal action and significant penalties.”
