Pupils at Blessed George Napier School pick up their results

MANY pupils are celebrating after picking up their A-Level results at schools across Banburyshire today.

Large numbers of students got into their chosen universities and several schools including Banbury School and Blessed George Napier recorded their best ever results.

Among the success stories are Chenderit School pupil Ben Jackson who gained three A*s and an A grade and is set to study Maths at Cambridge University, and Matt Foley of Banbury School who also achieved two A*s and an A grade, and will attend the University of Warwick to study Accountancy and Finance.

Banbury School head Fiona Hammans said: “We’re delighted. These are our best results ever. The students have worked their socks off and the staff here have a great knowledge of how to help the youngsters get every possible mark.”

See next weeks Banbury Guardian for the full story and results tables.
