Police plea following shed break-ins

RESIDENTS living in the Cherwell Heights area of Banbury are being asked to be vigilant following a number of shed break-ins.

A male was seen entering a locked garage on Farm Way on Sunday, December 30 at about 8am, and left a short time later before walking up an alleyway towards Chatsworth Drive. He is described as white, aged about 30, wearing a black coloured beanie hat, green parker style jacket and jogging bottoms. PC Duncan Vale of Banbury police station said: “There have been a number of outbuilding and shed breaks in the rural area over the Christmas period where specific items have been stolen and other high value items ignored by the offender(s).

“I would urge people to take extra security measures with regards to their sheds and garages. Installing extra locks that secure garage doors to the floor or the concrete framework would be advisable.”

Anyone with any information should call PC Vale on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
