Police officer due in court on misconduct charges

A BANBURY police officer will appear in court with two other people today (Thursday) charged with misconduct and data protection offences.

Sugra Hanif, 26, of Bretch Hill, Banbury was charged with obtaining and disclosing personal data contravening Data Protection laws and conspiracy to misconduct in a public office. Raza Khan, 26, of Ivy Road, Handsworth, Birmingham has also been charged with conspiracy to misconduct in a public office and Data Protection offences.

Paramjeet Kaur, 25, also of Ivy Road, Handsworth, Birmingham has been charged with conspiracy to misconduct in a public office.

The offences relate to allegations between January 1 2011 and September 30 2011, where Hanif sold personal information to Khan and Kaur, and all three are due to appear at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court.
