Police investigate allegation of sexual assault

BANBURY police officers are currently at the scene of an alleged sexual assault in Banbury.

At about 9am this morning (Thursday) officers received a complaint from an adult female regarding a serious sexual assault which took place in Pepper Alley off High Street in Banbury.

A scene cordon has been put in place at the site which is expected to be lifted at about 5.30pm.

Officers are continuing to speak with the woman and enquiries are ongoing. More details are expected to be released tomorrow (Friday).
