Police appeal after burglaries

Banbury Police are appealing for information after a series of burglaries and robberies which took place over the weekend.
On Friday between 12.30pm-3.15pm burglars targeted a property in Twyford Gardens, Twyford and attempted to force entry to the side door with a tool which they bought to the scene. They then used a brick to smash a rear window.
Once inside they conducted a thorough and untidy search and stole jewellery and an ipad.
On Saturday between 8.15am-9.30am offenders gained entry to a workshop in North Aston Road, Duns Tew by breaking off the padlock. They then conducted an untidy search and stole several items.
On Friday between 1am-6am burglars broke into a tack room in Church Street, Barford St. John by cutting the padlock.
Eight saddles were stolen along with attached stirrups and leathers.
Last Thursday between 7pm-9pm a thieves broke into a room at the Holiday Inn in Ermont Way and stole a wallet and driving licence belonging to a hotel guest. There has since been fraudulent usage of the stolen bank card.
Police have also charged a male with attempted robbery in School Lane Banbury, which took place on Saturday at 5.50pm. A 40- year-old male threatened a man with a needle but the victim was able to detain him until Police arrived.
On Wednesday between 9am-5pm the front and rear number plates were taken from a black Sabia Skoda Index, Registration OY61 FVN. The vehicle was parked on an unnamed road in Wardington.
