Staff and children at a Banbury playgroup – including, from left, Kim Tompkins, Margarett Burr and Victoria Allen – will look to raise funds for Comic Relief by dressing up as celebrity food writer Mary Berry.

Easington Playgroup is based in Harriers Banbury Academy and staff will be in Easington play area on Wednesday from 10am to 1pm selling cakes and holding a raffle. Margarett Burr, manager, said: “We would like everyone to help the community of Africa, enjoy a cup of tea and a chat with friends while helping the playgroup to raise money for Red Nose Day. The children have been learning about poverty in Africa and want to help others have a better life.”
