Offender jailed for theft spree

THE following cases were among those heard at Banbury Magistrates’ Court between November 13 & 19:

n Justin Rolls, 36, of Jubilee Court, Banbury, admitted two charges of stealing an Arnova tablet computer to the value of £159 from HMV, stealing alcohol and meat products to the value of £18 from Co-op, stealing a cash tin to the value of £170, stealing meat to the value of £55 from Sainsbury’s and stealing meat to the value of £39.64 from Morrisons. He was jailed for a total of 84 days.

n Tamara Nash, 21, of Danesmoor, Banbury, admitted using a TV without a licence and was fined £36, ordered to pay £15 victim surcharge and £60 costs.

n Jade Pawley, 22, of Woodfield, Banbury, was found guilty of using a TV without a licence and was fined £250, ordered to pay £15 victim surcharge and £60 costs.

n Chantelle Phillips, 21, of Merton Street, Banbury, was found guilty of using a TV without a licence and was fined £300, ordered to pay £15 victim surcharge and £60 costs.

n Andrew Prowse, 51, of Padbury Drive, Banbury, was found guilty of using a TV without a licence and was fined £200, ordered to pay £15 victim surcharge and £60 costs.

n Jayne Reynolds, 30, of Red Poll Close, Banbury, was found guilty of using a TV without a licence and was fined £70, ordered to pay £15 victim surcharge and £60 costs.

n James Smith, 23, of Bath Road, Banbury, was found guilty of using a TV without a licence and was fined £200, ordered to pay £15 victim surcharge and £60 costs.

n Donna Thomas, 43, of Arundel Place, Banbury, was found guilty of using a TV without a licence and was fined £300, ordered to pay £15 victim surcharge and £60 costs.

n Abdul Wahid, 38, of Fergusson Road, Banbury, was found guilty of using a TV without a licence and was fined £55, ordered to pay £15 victim surcharge and £60 costs.

n Meghan Macer, 34, of Coxs Lane, Enstone, admitted speeding at 38mph in a 30mph zone and was fined £65, ordered to pay £15 victim surcharge, £65 costs and had her licence endorsed with three points.

n Simon Woodford, 33, of Waynflete Avenue, Brackley, admitted possessing a quantity of heroin and possessing 54 miligrams of ketamine and was given an 18-month conditional discharge.

n John Argyle, 29, of Swalcliffe, admitted assault by beating and failing to surrender to court custody. He was given a community order with a six-month alcohol treatment requirement, 12-month supervision requirement, restraining order against the victim until November 2014 and ordered to pay £40 costs.

n Darren James, 31, of Tithe Court, Banbury, admitted stealing Strongbow and cat food to the value of £9.84 from Co-op and was fined £73, ordered to pay £15 victim surcharge and £40 costs.

n Scott Anderson, 29, of Middleton Road, Banbury, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour and was given an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £105 costs.

n Miguel Fernandez, 65, of Brunswick Place, Banbury, admitted harassment by breach of a restraining order and was given a six-month conditional discharge, a six-month extension of the restraining order and ordered to pay £85 costs.

n Jason Graves, 25, of Eady Road, Upper Heyford, admitted using or threatening unlawful violence and was given a 12-month exclusion order preventing him from entering the Chequers Pub in Witney and ordered to pay £50 costs.

n Matthew Clarke, 18, of Prescott Avenue, Banbury, admitted damaging a window to the value of £215 belonging to Cherwell Cars and was fined £60, ordered to pay £100 compensation, £15 victim surcharge and £40 costs.

n Leisha Kane, 27, of Northumberland Court, Duke Street, Banbury, admitted using threatening words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress and was fined £75, ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. She also admitted the commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge order and was fined another £75.
