A team of creative artists and artisans from Adderbury are launching a new venture.

Market by the Green will open its doors on Saturday, March 9 from 10am to 1pm in The Institute, just off the Oxford Road in Adderbury.

It will showcase a wide range of local talents ranging from handmade cards, individually-designed jewellery, crochet gifts and vintage clothing to original art and prints, home decorations, shoes, books and fresh flowers. There will be a real variety of stalls for visitors to browse.

A vintage-themed coffee shop will be open for people to relax and enjoy a cup of tea and slice of homemade cake while perusing the stalls. Emma Glover, organiser of Market by the Green and mum-of-two who lives in Adderbury, said: “We are all really excited about this new venture. As a village, there are so many talented, creative people here and getting together to create our own market with our individual stalls seemed like a perfect way to showcase our individual businesses.

“Also, the launch just before Mothering Sunday means that people can come and buy some truly individual and handmade gifts or simply just come and have a browse and a morning coffee.”

After March’s market, the next market will be held on May 11.
