Fatal road accident on Welsh Lane

Police have confirmed the collision which took place on the B4525 Welsh Lane this morning at 7.10am resulted in the death of a 32-year-old woman.

Police and fire crews were called to the scene after a blue Fiat Punto travelling along the B4525 towards Banbury was involved in a collision and came to a stop on the side of the road.

A blue Honda Accord, which was travelling in the same direction, then hit the stopped Fiat Punto and the driver of the Fiat was killed as she was attempting to leave the vehicle.

The driver of the Honda suffered minor injuries.
