County operation to stop violent crime

Police officers will be in Brackley town centre tomorrow (Saturday) as part of a violence prevention initiative.

The mobile station will be there from 6.30pm, where officers from different departments will be on hand to talk about the dedicated operation to prevent violent crime in the area.

Sergeant Leeanna Woodrow said: “As well as providing high-visibility patrols, we will be using the mobile police station in both towns as a base where people can pop in and talk to us about any issues they have. We will be offering advice on how to stay safe and highlighting the consequences of becoming involved in violent crime.”

“We want to ensure that people can enjoy an evening out in these attractive towns safely and take robust action against those who break the law or act anti-socially. As well as reacting to any incidents as they occur and making arrests, early intervention is a great way of preventing potential problems from escalating.”
