Come and say hello to celebrate new look

THREE years after making the historic switch from a broadsheet to compact newspaper, the Banbury Guardian will have a further bright new look next week.

As part of a nationwide programme by the Guardian’s parent company Johnston Press to redesign all of its print titles, next week’s paper will be bigger and better than ever before!

All of your existing and favourite content will remain and new features will include a weekly business page, a chance to share your pictures of days gone by and a new entertainment section featuring an extended What’s On guide and a full page of crosswords and puzzles.

To celebrate the relaunch, Banbury Guardian editor Jason Gibbins is hosting a meet and greet session at the paper’s North Bar offices from 11am to 1.30pm on Thursday, January 31 – and you are all invited!

Jason said: “I want to meet as many readers as possible and invite them to share their views on the new-look paper and tell me how we can make even more improvements as we move forward. To encourage you to come and see me, we will provide snacks and drinks and hand out free prize draw tickets to give one reader the chance to win £50 of Tesco vouchers.

“These are further exciting times for the Banbury Guardian and I look forward to meeting you.”

The relaunched paper has been produced with the support of a leading international newspaper design team.

We have introduced a bigger, more readable font and the new paper will further emphasise the digital coverage we provide at banburyguardian.co.uk and via our Facebook and Twitter sites.

Jason said: “Wherever and whenever news breaks, we now share that news with our readers in the best format possible – either in print, online or through our social media channels, which are rapidly growing in popularity.

“We have been proud to cover the Banbury area for 175 years. The fantastic new look paper is simply the first step towards an even more successful future!”
