Cheap fitness offer for youngsters

YOUNG people in Banbury can now take advantage of a fitness offer being sponsored by Cherwell District Council.

For eight weeks, residents aged 18-25 can pay £2 per visit to the gym, swimming pool or fitness classes at Spiceball Leisure Centre. After completing at least six sessions participants can get a month’s free membership.

On completion of these two stages they can sign up for a 12-month membership and get the equivalent of another month free. The council is encouraging young people to continue participating in sport, improving their fitness and wellbeing.

The offer is part of Sportivate, a four-year, £32 million Lottery programme. It is available at number of Cherwell leisure centres. For more details visit www.cherwell-dc.gov.uk or www.leisurecentre.com and choose your leisure centre.
