POLICE have urged vigilance following a burglary and a door canvasser in Grimsbury, Banbury.

Last Friday, a house in Manor Road was broken into sometime between 4.15pm and 6.50pm.

The offenders, who had forced open the front door, carried out an untidy search of the master bedroom, but nothing was taken.

Following the incident, Thames Valley Police is asking residents to be vigilant after reports that a female door canvasser was attempting to sell loft insulation without any identification or paperwork. Anyone with information should call investigating officer Richard Lewis on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
