Attempted safe theft in Banbury

TWO men attempted to steal a safe from a business in Bridge Street, Banbury on Monday (November 12).

At about 8.40pm two offenders entered the premises through an insecure rear door.

Once inside they entered the office where the safe was kept and demanded that it be opened.

They were disturbed when another member of staff entered the office, and left the scene without taking anything.

The offenders were both wearing black padded jackets, grey jogging bottoms, black trainers and had their faces covered.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the offenders in the area at the time.
