An elderly driver dies after a collision with a tree

A FATAL road traffic collision took place in Cockley Road, Farthinghoe, at about 4.40pm, on Saturday January 5.

A 79-year-old woman was driving a red Suzuki Jimny from Farthinghoe towards Marston St Lawrence, when for reasons yet unknown, the car left the road and collided with a tree.

An ambulance took the woman to Horton Hospital in Banbury, where she died.

Northamptonshire Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have any information regarding it.
