If a good giggle and top rate entertainment is your kind of Valentine’s Day treat, then the first ever appearance in Banbury by 4 Poofs and a Piano is a date not to be missed.

The four mega-talented guys play The Mill Theatre on Thursday, February 14 for the launch gig of their 2013 comedy tour.

The group 4 Poofs and a Piano need no introduction for fans of the Jonathan Ross Show; they were the resident house band for the prime time BBC TV show for nine series.

Now, in a new incarnation, they are taking their unique brand of music and comedy around the country and the Banbury show gives everyone the first chance to see the new, bigger, louder, harder, longer 4 Poofs and a Piano!

“We’re back, in a whirl of pizzazz, wit and glittering charisma with a new line-up and a show that promises to be the best ever!” said original member Big Dave Wickenden.

“Joining me is the fabulous Graeme Clark who promises to bring a notable level of butch twinkle to the proceedings and the brilliant, gorgeous Ian Lilley who will be busting a move while hitting that top ‘b’. Ian is younger than the other Poofs – considerably younger – and cute and talented – and young! This makes the other Poofs hate him a little bit already and we may decide to sell him to Angelina Jolie if he’s not nappy trained by July!”

“Last but not least, the new 4 Poofs and a Piano features the legendary Bobby Crush, whose fingers are so fast and light that he could vajazzle a ferret while playing Rachmaninov! We promise to have everyone from students to the blue rinse brigade in Banbury reaching for their Tena Ladies!” said Big Dave.

The three new Poofkateers join Big Dave, famed for his one-armed choreography, immutable smile and legendary dance moves that have made him an icon to plus-size gays everywhere, in a sparkling evening to really lift the spirits.

The Poofs captured the hearts of millions of BBC viewers during their tenure as the house band with Jonathan Ross. Tickets for the show cost £15 from 01295 279002.
