Members of Brackey European Association welcomed their French twinning counterparts from Pavillons-sous-Bois and enjoyed a successful weekend in Warwick.

Brackley Mayor Elaine Wiltshire welcomed visitors from the town’s twinning partner in France on June 20, and the weekend visit included a formal dinner on the Saturday evening and visits to Lord Leycester’s Hospital in Warwick and Hill Close Gardens.

On their return to Brackley, the group visited the town’s Antique Cellar.

Anita Robbins, European Association chairman, said: “Once again the association has fulfilled its commitment to sustain and promote the town’s official twinning links and to perpetuate cordial relations with two of our European neighbours.

“This commitment is enshrined in the charter in the town hall which is regularly renewed by the town council. The weekend was a success.”

The next monthly meeting is a skittles evening on July 30 at the Butcher’s Arms in Greens Norton at 7pm. Tickets are £10. Call 01295 712388.
