The new landlord of the Plough Inn at Bodicote is hoping to unlock its potential in the centre of the village.
Lee Cole took over the High Street pub at the end of March and is already looking to develop the pub’s food range and ensuring it is a venue both villagers and those travelling from further afield can enjoy all year round. The 39-year-old is a qualified chef and has been running pubs and restaurants for 17 years. He said: “Bodicote is a lovely village and, although there is some work to be done, I want to have dedicated food nights each day. I want to make it a meeting place for village groups and try to attract more people who are not from the village.”
